Art and science have been in a close relationship since ancient times. Science and technology is very important to plastic arts, include forms, structures, ideas and practices during the whole creation. However, with the digital technology and the science of complexity piling into the traditional plastic art, we found a profound impact on the sculpture method, which is different from the tradition.This paper mainly probes the way that the digital method affects in the modern sculpture area, include forms, structures, ideas and the practices, based on the relationship between science and art. By combing the changes to sculpture forms of the western modern art in the 20th century on the one hand; and summarizing the technology principle and aesthetic patterns in the digital media environment for another, I put forward generation& development strategies in the field of abstract sculpture. Part one(Chaper2) introduced the basic principle between the" digital method" and" abstract forms", aiming for the inner relation between art& science; part two(Chaper3) combined the sculpture methods with form language in different times together to analyze the form of the western modern abstract sculpture and the aesthetic patterns; part three(Chaper4,5)-the core of this paper, illustrated the digital science1 prospect applications in the field of plastic arts, through the analysis of outstanding cases in China and abroad; and fully discussed that the digital technology as a critical role in the modeling processes combining with the digital experiment.In today's cultural cross-border integration of diversified background, we should build up a new relationship between human and technology as the necessary precondition for the development of sculpture field.
