Application Of Weaving,embroidery, Printing And Dyeing To The Jewelry Art

Influenced by western art ideological ideas,western metal processing has witnessed improvement since 1960 s.Such improvement promoted changes of jewelry art which divert its focus from use of noble metals.With development of science and technologies,jewelry began to use numerous inexpensive materials,breaking the standard of taking noble metals as measurement of emotional expressions.Development and changes of jewelry design liberated it from traditional patterns,making it more diversified.As traditional Chinese folk handicraft,weaving,printing,dyeing and embroidery share same natures with jewelry art in terms of the cultural level.Changes of social history influences social psychology.This offered historical opportunities for weaving,printing,dyeing and embroidery to be used in jewelry art in another level.Based on shapes,materials,processing and other practices of jewelry art,the thesis researched and analyzed the method and significance of combining textiles with other materials in jewelry art.The thesis proved feasibility and inevitability of applying weaving,printing,dyeing and embroidery to jewelry art from the perspective of practice.
