Wei Wei is a unique 1970 s writer characterized by aesthetic,whose novel writing style stands out among the popular culture in the 1990s:not swim with the tide and never pursuits profit, reclusive as chrysanthemum,mild as jade. Wei Wei's novels focus on common characters' sickness and death, expressing a kind of reflecting on the modern life in a nostalgic atmosphere with narration methods and a complex of yearn for the past from a person lives in the modern times. This article was based on the aesthetic style of the "old", the chrysanthemum background of being a human and the writing connected joints of jade culture, then chose four key words with rich metaphorical meanings : enduring, mildness, moderate, grinding stones, discussed the four dominant contents of Wei Wei's novels: the concept of time and space, daily life, moral emotion and writing structure, discussing how a modern person creates new writing features over the traditions by using the aesthetic style of " chrysanthemum " and " jade ".This article can be divided into six parts. The introduction part mainly analyzed the historical background of the writer's creation: the unique narration and "old" aesthetic narrative tradition of the writer in the 1970 s. The first chapter concretely elaborated on its time and space concept of old and classical aesthetics' narration: desire to return to the time stream and the hesitation of modern living space. The second chapter mainly discussed the daily life of people and things with thick and heavy colors in Wei Wei's novels, which is the major support embodying its old and classic aesthetics' narration. The third chapter discussed ethics of love and family, through which further states the conservative and old affection idea. The fourth chapter gave a review of the main idea's discoursing according to characteristics of brief and inclusive as jade in the language and text. The final conclusion part of the full text set a simple generalization and summary. Through the analysis and statement of the above parts, this article tried to present a more complete discussion about Wei Wei's aesthetic style of reclusive as chrysanthemum,mild as jade.
