Recently, more and more scholars have been focused on the thoughts, practices and books from HanshanDeqing who is the most unique eminent monk of Ming Dynasty, and his thoughts in Buddha greatly influenced the society at Ming Dynasty, even at modern. But a little pursuer pay close attention to his educational travel with friends in Hainan, only being referred to in a few paper. In 1605, HanshanDeqing was then invited by the local aristocracy Wang Honghui and Xu Ziwei to visit Hainan, when he was second time exiled to Leizhou. He discussed the natural landscapes, humanistic sceneries and historical culture of Hainan island with a keen insight. So this dissertation explores the experience and books in this travel, focusing on thoughts, practices and emotion about Hainan island, to probe into the historical and realistic influence in Hainan of HanshanDeqing.The part of the foreword has introduced the significance, framework of this thesis and the relating research document survey. The main body of this paper consists of four parts. The first chapter mainly introduces the life and thoughts, and the reasons and background to travel the Hainan of Hanshan Deqing.The second chapter deals with the practices of Hanshan Deqing in the Hainan, including he was to stroll about Jinsu Spring, searched the historical remain of Su Shi and Hui Hong, and experience of visited Long Miao West Lake and Yu long Spring with his friends. Chapter Three interprets the thoughts the paper in details to explore the view of Confucianism and Buddhism, and analyze the geographical location and flourish foreseen of Hainan island. Finally, we presentation the Earthquake prediction in his mind. The fourth chapter examine historical value and practical significance of his practices and books for Hainan island.
