The Analysis Of Pierre Gavinies' Twenty-Four Violin Etudes

Pierre Gavinies, an important French performer of violin as well as an educator in the European art history of violin. In performance and teaching he inherits the style of Jean-Marie Leclair, the great French performer and composer of violin. The comprehensive skills and the innovation of his performance and teaching he shows make him to be the leader of violin in the circle of French violin after Jean-Marie Leclair,making enormous contribution to the development of French violin. Meanwhile, his 24 etudes of violin represent the peak of the performance skills in the whole 18 century as well as the classical works of violin etudes in the world. In our country, the research of the works and performance skills of Gavinies is scarce;whose important works haven't got deserved attention and popularization in the circle of violin education and performance. Therefore, this paper chooses Gavinies' most important representative works, 24 violin etudes, as the topic, and performs extensible research to them, hoping that it will be good for popularizing classical works.This paper takes Gavinies' 24 etudes as the main research objects and the musical ontology and performance skills as the entry-points, analyzing those etudes comprehensively and digging the research value of them.This paper is divided into three parts:Part1, the comprehensive description of Gavinies and his 24 etudes, includes the whole life of Gavinies from performance skills and musical analysis, emphasizes the general features of Gavinies' 24 violin etudes.Part2, according to the clarification of performance skills, from a micro perspective, analyzes every etude's music text and performance skills, combines my own experience through the solutions of the key points and difficult points and musical expression to give guidance and assistance for the learner of etudes.Part3 main refers to the research of the art value of the etudes. Firstly, this part makes a conclusion of the inheritance of classicism thought trend as well as the influence and the inheritance of violin schools from the aspect of the development history of violin. And then exhibits the performance value as well as the teaching and pragmatic value by my own study and the related materials, trying to give a objective evaluation to those works in the violin art history and giving referential value for the teacher and leaner of violin.
