Lu Shen And His Historical Thought Reseach

Lu Shen(1477-1544),born in the small landlord family,was mainly active during the Zhengde,and Jiajing period.In Zhengde and Jiajing period,Wuzong was ridiculous,and Shizong,indulged in Taoist and ignored the affairs of the state,leading to the eunuch interventions in politics.In order to control the government,the in-fighting among afficials was more and more scrious.The corruption in official circles was common.In the meantime,the border of the country was disarranged by tartar invasion and the coastal areas was harassed by the Japanese pirates.What's more,the land annexation during this period was more serious than in the former period of Ming Dynasty.As a result of all these factors,the ruling class in Zhengde and Jiajing years relaxdits grip on academia and the climate of the society was in upheaval.The exclusive status of neo-confucianism has been shaken,and in academia appeared Wang Yangming School who gave priority to the heart and Restoration School,started mainly by Li Mengyang,He Jingming,Kang Hai and so on,who advocated imitating the old ways,apheld Tang ways and opposed the Song ways.Lu Shen's teachers Luo Qinshun,ZhangMao,Liu Jian,Yang Tinghe and Yang Yiqing were faithful followers of neo-confucianism,so Lu Shen believed in neo-confucianism,opposed Yangming philosophy.Lu Shen,being friends with Li Mengyang,He Jingming and Kanghai were the inevitably under the influence of restoring ancient ways to send some claim,but because of the reversionary historical claim no science historiography,so Liu Shen historiography thought is the essence of the reversionary historiography part of historiography science.In the early stage of the Ming dynasty,probbms as untrue memoirs,"disrepair of national history,no full-time management of historical affairs,appeared.Under the influence of the reversionary,Lu Shen from Liu Zhiji's book" and predecessors' thought sought to solve the historical problems of the stage,and formed his own historical thinking.Lu Shen advocated history compilation should simulate the essence of chronicle ancient history opposed to become a mere formality;Lu Shen's historiography science was under the dual influence of the reversionary historiography and neo-confucianism,so Lu Shen's research is more flexible,forming its alterative historical thinking.He thought we should set up historiographers,have full-time personnel for the official,and in order to improve the efficiency of revisionist history,the official should dotheir jobs,setting clear compilation rules;thought the official should be in biographical periodic history as a genre,and the former generation history books have recorded both offspring of history should not repeat again,if the former generation history has no records,offspring historian on the evidence of textual research,generations of history should have detailed records;thought the language of history should use language distinguishes the just,talk about things of narrative method,the content of the history should be used according to the method of truth,against a distortion of the facts.In the face of Ming dynasty political,economic,military and comprehensive crisis,pragmatism became an important aspect of the function Lu Shen's historiography thought an important aspect.Because history has a poetic justice,gain and loss,the role of enlightenment,Lu Shen hoped to seek for the way of salvation from history.
