Although Christianity has the extremely intimate association with Judaism in its history, and now it has been freed from the outdated fetters of Judaism as a ethnic religion thanks to the substantial discrepancies in terms of their core faiths and principles, and became an universal world-wide religion. Against such a historical background, it is a certainty that the clarification on the substantial discrepancies of two religions' core faiths is a very important part of the current academic research.Under this circumstances, this paper starting from the history and the spiritual experiences of individuals, mainly focus on the redemption theory and sorts out and explores both religions from three perspectives of “sin”, Bible and “redemption” at the first three chapters, and then in the forth chapter, it specifically dissects the significant differences on the concepts of sins, the way of redemption and messianism of two religions' redemption theory. It argues that with respect to religions, sins are contempt and violation against creeds of the LORD, and ideas and actions with which the men attempt to impose their wills over all things, even the LORD, and to evaluate all things based on the men's values. In spiritual experiences of the individuals, “sins”are the men's unique feelings on the “worthless” experience of “the Sacred” when“the numinous” –current objects of consciousness– meet with the men. “Redemption”is a unique demand and impulse motivated to seek “shelter” from the LORD and crave for being “sacred” in such unique experiences. Nevertheless, in terms of faith,“sins” and “redemption” remain their unknown state to human reason in a sense, since fundamentally, “confession” is the duty that men should do while “redemption”is the power that the LORD have.
