The Research On High-Frequency Auxiliary Words Of Naxi Language

Dongba of created by Naxi ancestors is one of the four kinds of the self-source characters in our country. Dongba can reflect the complete process of human characters from the pictographic pictures transit to the classical characters of semantic, sound-indicating. The Dongba manuscripts' literature of recorded by Dongba scripts is the traditional literature encyclopedia in Naxi. AN ANNOTATED COLLECTION OF NAXI DONGBA MANUSCRIPTS as an important classic to the study of Dongba, in which we found auxiliary word is one of the main means for Naxi to express grammatical meaning. In many of auxiliary words, only “(?)”, “(?)” and “(?)” appear frequently. On the basic of the classic texts of studying on Naxi language, focus on the three words, “(?)”, “(?)” and “(?)”, and study from grammar position, grammatical meaning and so on to found that auxiliary is one of the primary means of expressing grammatical meaning of Naxi language.According to the role of differences in words or phrases, we can divide “(?)” into structural auxiliary and modal particle. Modal particle can appear after clauses, nouns, verbs and modifiers to table tone pause and highlight the action. Structural auxiliary “(?)”can be used after clauses, adjectives and verbs to serve as the mark of structure.When “(?)” appears with some kind of words, it is mainly used as a sign of syntactic component. When “(?)” is located after the noun or pronoun, which is subject, it is served as subject or agentive to represent the subject mark. When “(?)” appears after the nouns or phrases of expressing time and place, it is a sign of adverbial in front of its components. When“(?)” located before the adjectives or adverbs, which is complement, marks the role of complement. In addition, when is used continuously in a few similar or same sentences, it mainly emphasizes the role of subject and tools.It is very strong to the adhesion function of “(?)” that not only can be attached after the nouns, pronouns and adjectives that served as attribute, but also can appear after the subject-predicate phrases or verb-object phrases. The grammatical meaning of “(?)” is equal to “de”. And it with the front of components combined into one modifiers. When “(?)” and“(?)”, served as structural auxiliary, appear in a sentence at the same, the two can exist at the same time or the one can replace the two, but the two can't be omitted at the same time.
