This paper mainly researches on the Chinese translation of the idioms in "The Secret History of the Mongols", and we will call "The Secret History" in brief below. Based on the statistics towards to the idioms of "The Secret History", this paper chooses Chinese Character Trans-pronunciation, side translation, total translation of idioms of " The Secret History" of Ming Dynasty, and the idioms of " The Secret History" translated by Daoruntibu, Aerdazhabu, Yu Dajun, Zhaqisiqin, Ce.damudingsurong and Xie Zaishan as research object combined with corpus and cultural connotation of "The Secret History" itself from the angle of idioms translation.This paper includes six parts, introduction, body, conclusion, appendix one, appendix two and appendix three.As for introduction, briefly discusses the topic choosing reason, existing research status, research meaning, research method, and research object and innovation points.As for the first part, make arguments from the points of the concept and character of Chinese and Mongolian, the theory basis of choosing idioms of "The Secret History", the general status of the Chinese translation of "The Secret History and the establishment of corpus.In the second part, according to the figurative content of the idioms of "The Secret History", we can divide the content into three parts, idioms translation for the human, the animals and the natural phenomenon, and make comparative research for the idioms with characters.In the third part, make comparative study for the idioms of social behavior and social consciousness.
