There is an old saying that ”The family is the base of being a better man and the fundamental of one,s glory or disgrace.” Family is the most important area of human moral life, the first and perpetual education, the starting point of a person to develop good moral character and ambitious ambition. Although the school education and social education influence us with various ways and methods, the correct family moral education is the foundation of being a better man. A correct family moral education make people not only set up a correct moral concept in childhood, but also cultivate a good attitude towards life.Just like “Self-cultivation, Family Harmony”in the theory "Self-cultivation, Family Harmony, State Governing and World Peace".Schools are the next one, only with the correct moral concept and good attitude towards life, can they know what they have learned in school.Then humans practice what they learned at schools in society to achieve “State Governing and World Peace”.It is obvious that family moral education is important, therefore, the family moral education is revered all the time. As a model of family moral education in Chinese modern history,Zeng Guofan and his family have cultivated more than 240 talents,and wined the reputation of “there is no basket case in Zeng”.So prosperous as Zeng family, is fully benefit from Zeng Guofan,s rich scientific family moral education thoughts, his education thought is still be followed and praised in China today because of the great value. So this article consummate the theory of modern native family moral education through analyzing Zeng Guofan's family moral education and its value, and provide strong theoretical support to modern family moral construction.This paper deeply analyzing formation origin and main content of Zeng Guofan,s family moral education from various angle such as literature analysis, field investigation, history comparison. At the same time, deepening the influence to today's families and social moral education. The study shows that Zeng Guofan,s moral education mainly built by traditional Confucian thoughts, HuXiang unique local culture and Family Zeng,s excellent reading tradition.The main idea of Family Zeng is that” filial piety and fraternal duty, hardworking and thrift, education, harmonious family and friendly to neighbors. It includes the most essence of the Confucian theory, with great significance. Of course, it is not the end purpose of this paper to analysis Zeng Guofan,s family moral education thoughts, the goal of this article is mainly through the study of Zeng Guofan,s family mor education thought for modern enlightenment, to explore its modern value.There are valuable thought resources for modern family moral construction, exploring its essence can help solve the family problems in modern families. By studying we know that the center of Zeng,s family moral education is that the continuation of traditional feudal ethics, the aim is to preserve the feudal moral dogma, with strong feudal moral color. However, as China's social modernization and marketization are growing, the structure and function of modern family, social relations and people's ideas have changed a lot. So there are some failures and limitations when Zeng Guofan's family moral education thought in face of modern family variations.Therefore, it,s better for us to accept Zeng,s family moral ideology with critical attitude. Absorb the essence and discard the dross.
