The Impact Of The Modern German Literature And Philosophy On Yu Da-fu

The nourishment of the modern German literature and philosophy is an extremely important source among numerous foreign thought and culture,which influenced Yu Dafu's writing style.This paper,via close reading,discusses how Yu Dafu accepted the influence of the modern Germany literature and philosophy,and how he digested reasonable factors of the modern Germany literature and philosophy,and then creatively applied to his ideology and writing practice.This paper consists of two chapters.The first chapter focuses on the impact of German Modern literary and philosophy trends on Yu Dafu.This section mainly discusses the impact of German Romantic Literature,Stirner and Nietzsche trend on Yu.Yu's acceptance of German Romanticism was based on strong and distinct consciousness.Literally,Yu mainly accepted the idea promoting the liberation of personality and stressing subjective imagination from German Romantic literature.While in the writing style and presentation skills part,Yu mainly referenced subjective lyricism,sentiment and sentimental fantasy tactics of the German Romanticism.Stirner and Nietzsche influence Yu in many ways.From the literary point of view,Yu appreciated and accepted the philosophy of Stirner and Nietzsche in breaking social conventionality,advocating individuality and emphasizing the liberation of art independent;From the Personality and Writing Style point of view,Yu inherited the rebellious spirit,uninhibited temperament and loneliness from Stirner and Nietzsche.The second chapter focuses on the impact of Germany Modern Writers to Yu Dafu,Specifically,Theodor Storm and Lindau.Yu Dafu is one of the pioneers who Translated Theodor Storm's works to Chinese readers.His literary writings are deeply branded with the structure of Storm's poetry fiction poetry,poetic artistic conception and poetic mood.The impact of Lindau on Yu Dafu majorly reflected in the writing of the novel late Osmanthus.By comparing the similarity between Late Osmanthus and The Happy Pendulum in characters,plot structure and lyrical style,and the difference in the national culture section,we can find Yu Dafu is a man who sticks to his national cultural essence and selectively adopted foreign cultural resources,thus creating outstanding artistic works with national characteristics and age's color.
