Study On The Process Of Early Civilization In Gansu Qinghai Area

s the first metal which was recognized and used by human being, the discovery and the production process of bronze become the epitome of the history of human civilization. Every innovation of the bronze production technology is the advancement of human productivity and has an epoch-making significance. Gansu-Qinghai region, which located in the upper reaches of Yellow River, is not only one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, but owns the very important significance to the study of the geographical scope of prehistoric bronze. This paper will sort out the areas in Gansu and Qinghai provinces where have found prehistoric bronze in the ruins, and analyze the unearthed bronze classification and function. These conclusions can provide the evidence that the cultural circle of Gan-Qing region and its surrounding areas had reached a very high cultural level. Furthermore, we can discuss the relationships of early Bronze Culture in the prehistoric bronze in Gansu-Qinghai region and other areas from the aspects of the geographic origin, cultural pattern, the Qijia culture system and influence of Majiayao culture system in Gansu-Qinghai region.The paper will discuss the civilization of Gan-Qing region focusing on the bronze. The whole paper is divided into four parts:the first part deals with the prehistoric bronze ruins found in Gansu area which represented by the Majiayao culture, Qijia culture, Kayue culture, Xindian culture and Shajing culture; classification and function of prehistoric bronzes unearthed of Gan-Qing region are discussed in second part, which can be divided into tools, accessories, weapons and the others; the third part divides the bronze into different groups from the discovery time, including early, middle and late phases; the forth part discusses the relationships of the early Bronze Culture in the prehistoric bronze in Gan-Qing region and other areas, from the aspects of the geographic origin, cultural pattern and the Qijia culture system and influence of Majiayao culture system in Gansu-Qinghai region. So as to explain bronze and its production in the Gan-Qing region are the symbols of Chinese nation from uncivilized state into the state of civilization to a certain extent and the symbols of development and progress, and also confirm the realistic significance and value of the important archaeological area of Gansu-Qinghai area.
