In 20 century, there was a super star shining in the literary world. The star is Toni Morrison. From the reporting of the Bluest Eyes in 1970 to the publishing of Home in 2012 Morrison created 10 full-length novels in total. Toni Morrison lead Afro-American Literature went to a higher level and also because of her works Morrison won her honor in American literature world even the international scene. In 1993, 62- year- old Morrison won the Nobel prize for literature by virtue of the Beloved. As the first Afro-American female writer to won this price, which is undoubtedly the biggest approval of the Literature world.Toni Morrison as the moment of Afro –American literature history not only because of her works attacked Black slavery and the racial discrimination in the United States but also because of her words smoothed the Negro's broken spirit, encouraged them face the history bravely and get out of the shadow of the black history. At the same time, Morrison called the Negro race stick together to save themselves and finally make the whites and blacks stay in equal, integrated and unified.Beloved is an example of Toni Morrison's full-length novels. Also owed to it, Morrison got the Noble price for literature. This work drawn from a real history story. It told a story about a black slave who killed her daughter just for keep her from the slavery life. And Morrison used this story to uncovered the Negro's tragic history. From 1970 s, the study of Toni Morrison is rising gradually at home an abroad. Until now the study about Morrison in academic circles has made fruitful results. However the study about Morrison's view of race hasn't start very well. But each of Morrison's work are lead by her view of race which opposites racial discrimination and wishes the whites and the blacks be integrated and unified.Based on analyzing the book Beloved deeply, this thesis took Beloved as an example, try to discuss Toni Morrison's view of race completely. There are seven parts in this thesis totally. The first part is introduction which introduced the research purpose and research meaning. Chapter One discussed Morrison's criticism on racial discrimination and the Black slavery by analyzing Seth and Paul D's miserable life experience. Chapter Two started from the losing of identity, analyzed that Morrison disagrees with Cultural hegemony and want the Negros reconstruct identity. Chapter Three took Seth, Babe Saggers and the black community's awaken as examples to analyze Morrison's view on race which is self salvation. Chapter Four relying on the relationship between the whites and the blacks in Beloved to analyzed Morrison's wishes for the relationship between the blacks and the whites. She hope that there is no difference between the blacks and the whites and make integration and unify instead. Chapter Five analyzed the beginning of Toni Morrison's view of race and the significance of it. The last part is conclusion which summarized Toni Morrison's view of race all around.
