The History of South Dynasty is written by tang dynasty historian Li Yanshou,which is one of the important twenty-four histories recorded since from song dynasty( 420AD) to chen dynasty(589 AD) about 170 years' histories, is an important historical study of the northern and southern dynasties.Before the History of South Dynasty completed, for Shen Yue's the History of Song Dynasty,Xiao Zixian's the History of Nan qi Dynasty and Yao Silian's the History of Liang Dynasty and History of Chen Dynasty had already accomplished.The History of South Dynasty is on the basis of the four books and compiled using the style of "general history". This artical mainly in the form of contrast research, select "the History of Song Dynasty" as the main part to compare. To conduct a comprehensive, in-depth and meticulous study on the History of South Dynasty. On compilation,biographies,phyletic biography of people, historical theory, supplemented in turn by contrast with the History of Song Dynasty, reflect the History of South Dynasty in compiling and material choice on its own unique characteristics;In historiography methods from general ideas and write down the truth, general ideas embodied in the history of writing about, delete the lifting, "the History of Song Dynasty" and mixed in compiling methods; Write down the truth embodies in the correction of the "the History of Song Dynasty" and historical facts of reality.
