The study of the second language not only focus on the language and the learners, but also mainly on the differences of every learner. The individual difference of the learner includes feeling, the cognitive factors and physiology function. However, learning attitude is the most important emotional function which affects much in the study of the second language. Learning attitude is a kind of dynamic psychological process which contacts with the learners’ interior and external condition. Therefore, it’s very important for teaching Chinese as a foreign language to make a study of the learning attitude of the learners. The essay based on the related research at home and abroad for reference, combining with the practice and study of the second language teaching, and the subjects of linguistics, psychology, pedagogy and the second language acquisition theory, the writer’s experience in Thailand, by the way of questionnaire, talking, testing and observing, analyzes the learning attitude of Thailand students to learn Chinese and factors that affect the learning attitude, and puts forward some suggestions to improve the students’ learning attitude in order to improve the quality of Chinese teaching as a second language.Research results show that as a city with large numbers of ethnic Chinese, the learning attitude of the most Thai Chinese learners in Betong is in an average level, which should be enforced seriously. According to the survey data, the Thai Chinese lerners show the different attitudes in Chinese race, ages, gender and the time of learning Chinese. Therefore, in the teaching process of TCSL, the teachers should have a specific analysis based on the specific situation of their students, and take proper measures to correct their learning attitude and motivate their learning enthusiasm so as to obtain a better learning and teaching effect. Finally, according to the actual learning situation and the preference of Thai Chinese learners, corresponding teaching strategies are put forward. |
