The Great Cultural Revolution is one of the most significant great events affecting the contemporary China. Although it has been forty years, yet it has an endless influence so far. Every generation all has its writing styles, so people are always writing about "the Great Cultural Revolution ". A lot of novels, poems, essays, films, videos come into being. Yan Geling, as one of the most famous Chinese women writers, in the recent years, had created a series of works related to "the Great Cultural Revolution ", such as"The Ears of Grain", "The Ninth Widow", "Tian Yu", "The Epic of a Woman" and so on. Her writing materials were widespread and various, but the majority of hers were set in "the Great Cultural Revolution", or highlighted the topic. Therefore, they're so-called"the Great Cultural Revolution" works in the paper.Based on widely collecting research materials and learning from the predecessors' research findings and linked to Yan Geling's specific scripts about the Great Cultural Revolution, taking advantage of psychology, history and narration, the paper states the questions,such as the reasons, the changes, the work features, the narrative strategies and so forth. The whole thesis consists of five parts. The foreword mainly introduces the present study situations and the thinking of research, and shows the innovation points in the thesis. The epilogue concludes main views in all the research, and argues about the controversial points and the significance of Yan Geling's works about the Great Cultural Revolution. Besides, the text includes three chapters.The first chapter does researches on the origin and changes of Yan Geling's writing works about the Great Cultural Revolution. Her works have a close relation with her childhood experiences and the immigration life in the army. According to Fraud's psychology related theories, under the influence of the self-defense system, it shows that she has a tendency to care about the mining depth of human nature. The third chapter studies on the features of YanGeling's works about the Great Cultural Revolution. From her scripts, Yan Geling created "Di Mu", "The edge figures" and his "poetic expressions of historic memory". She was skillful at poetic expressions. These three features are worthy of more attentions. Moreover, as for the edge figures and poetic-ism of historic memory, Yan Geling attempted referring to the historical achievements successfully in two aspects. Up to now, few writers have discussed them in their works. The third chapter further researches on her narrative strategies in the works. Yan Geling was expert in modern narrative skills and her works have clear features of films. Her works are popular among public readers and in the film circle, which is closely linked to her narrative strategies that are to focus on the unique screen-shot awareness, varied narrative skills and select sensitive materials as stories.
