Application Of Paper-cutting Art In The Design Of Modern Women's Dress

With the increasing international cultural exchanges and the constant impact of foreign culture,Chinese artists and designers shift their vision abroad,which made the national culture increasingly alienated and even forgotten.Paper-cutting art as a unique art form is one of the oldest folk arts in China.With the changing time and baptism,in the times of pursuing homogenization,people gradually turn their attention to the traditional national art.In recent years,with the prevailing slogan of "Chinese style",paper-cutting art as an unique art form stands at the peak of the traditional national art not only for its special implication of the decorative patterns,but also for its achievement of cross-border cooperation between different fields.Whether in architectural design,product design or in the design of clothing and other areas,artistic breakthroughs have taken place,especially in the field of fashion design,paper-cutting art has been an unique flag of China on the world stage.Paper takes the application of paper-cutting art in women cloth designing as its theme.Through literature study,pictures analysis,data summary and design,we summarized previous by predecessors.Paper-cutting art as the main line,First,from the art itself,we explored the expression of beauty and peaceful meaning by analyzing its different elements,like pattern,shape,color,etc.Second,by detailed analysis of application status of paper-cutting in modern women couture,we summarized how paper-cutting art expressed its special art charisma by its pattern,color,modelling and techniques.Finally,inspired by the special characteristic of cuttingpaper art----hollow out,we conducted innovative design practice and used hollow out in the design of modern dress fashion,endowing it with the charm of traditional culture as well as a sense of fashion.
