Taking the dance body linguistics as the entry point,this paper chooses the author's dance art activities during learning in Wesleyan College as the research object.The author wants to discuss the value and significance of dance performance from the perspective of dance body language through the study of dance performance.The final purpose is to strive to get application theory of dance performances filled,and to make the importance of “silent language” and transmissibility in dance performance of the dancer and choreographer get more attention so as to make dance performance “silence speaks louder than sound”.This paper consists of four parts:Introduction is to integrate and analyze materials of the research object.It has a literature review on the research object and analyzes research status at home and abroad,finding limitations and excavating the internal research value.It clarifies the reason and purpose,research methods and significance of research and finally puts forward research emphasis and difficulties of this paper.Chapter One conducts a comprehensive introduction of dance body linguistics,including its historical background,basic content and discipline foundation.In Chapter Two,the author takes his own studying visit as an example,summarizes the application of dance body linguistics in his own dance performance.He mainly conducts a comprehensive analysis of dance performance from three different angles—“what he learns,what he teaches and what he performs”.Chapter Three discusses the functions of dance performance from body thoughts of philosophy,body expression of semiology,and body show of art theory,as well as digs out the value and significance of dance performance.
