A Research For Adult-oriented Phenomenon Of Children's Film And TV Literature In China

The adult-oriented phenomenon of children's film and television literature refers to the one that the creators use the adult's thought patterns, angles of view and ways of behavior to create the children's film and television literature works. The creators always use adult's ideas instead of children's ideas, "upgrade"the level of children's life experience to the level of adult's, or "lower" that to the one in the creator's imagination.As a result, the children's film and television literature creations deviate from the target audiences'willingness and receptivity.This article focuses on the research on the problems of the adult-oriented phenomenon. Firstly,through describing the developmentof the history on the Chinese children's film and television literature, and then through the comparison between Chinese and foreign creations and analysis of the present situation.This article puts forward the theme,that is, the problem of adult-oriented phenomenon of children's film and television literature. Secondly, taking some representatives of this kinds of works as research objects, it makes analysis about the appearance of the phenomenon.Through the analysis,it is found that the phenomenon results from the author's not adapting to the characteristics of children, seeing them as "shrunken adults". The forms and contents of these creations, which are inadaptable to the children's development of the psychological characteristics and requirements, include the following three aspects:Firstly, the unique cognitive form, logical thinking and behavior norm in the adult stage of development appear in these literature.Therefore the content of these works surpass the children's stage of development and can't be acceptable and learnt by them. Secondly, the producer are always self-righteous to weaken the children, some of them even educate the children to do like that or show to them. Thirdly, the privacy of adult exposes in this kind of creations. Obviously, the adult-oriented film and television literature for children make the children grow up unhealthily.The children who watched or read these works are sure to immitate them. Some works which contains more adult-oriented problems will expose the adult's wrong concepts and contradictions unreservedly in front of the young and naive children.If the children know some bad moral values and behaviors untimely,"jump empty growth"will appear as a result.So that they will have no chance to experience the innocence of childhood and directly turn into adults.There are various causes for the adult-oriented phenomenon of children's film and television literature.Those causes can be summarized as follows:Young children's self-awareness is very weak;the creators are not able to position their works clearly; the development and change of the media environment and the invasion of the popular culture take effect; the relevant laws and regulations are not perfect; no one pays attention to the children's media literacy education.In our real life, children access to lots of information and knowledge through various media, which may influence the children's form of thinking and way of life.If the children's film and television Literature bring too much "adult" information to the children during the cmmunication process,they will cause some negative effects on children.Those young children have no ability to recognise the adult information in the creations. They also don't know how to reject the adult's ideas and behaviour which are not beneficial for them.Those negative things existed in the adult world will eventually cause troubles to the growth of children.Finally, this article puts forward several practical solutions, hoping to help the current film and television literature for Chinese chidren to develop better. First of all, to strengthen the professional standards of children's film and television writers,and encourage more children to participate in it. Secondly, to strengthen the construction of criticism system for children's film and television literature and improve the qualifications of the critics. At last, to understand the psychology of the target audiences and then try to create works to meet their requirements, And need to hold the bottom line of the humanity culture to broaden the range of the subjects and the forms of the literature.
