The Impact Of The Importance And Completion Status Of The Prospective Memory Task On Intention Aftereffects In Prospective Memory

The prospective memory for people's real life is very important, in everyday life if someone fail to make prospective memory task can cause a lot of trouble, and even cause some damage. For example, someone forget an important meeting or some important things, such mistakes will always interfere with people's lives, work, study, and so on. Meanwhile the prospective memory is very important for high-technology and high-risk industry, because in the industry the success of the implementation of the prospective memory has a crucial impact on safety. Therefore, the exploration of prospective memory's process and factors is the current urgent problem. In this study, the first experiment according change the importance of the prospective memory task, to explore the impact of the importance of the prospective memory task for prospective memory task and ongoing task's execution, and to analyze whether the prospective memory task's execution will influence the execution of the ongoing task. And we want to discuss the finished prospective memory task's aftereffects. But in the second experiment, delaying the prospective memory task, to explore intention aftereffects, and analyzing the differences of aftereffects between the finished prospective memory task and delayed prospective memory task.The study using the "dual-task" paradigm, the experiment is trial type (2:match, non-match) xword type (2:target word, control word)×the importance of the prospective memory task (2:high, low) mix-design, which between-subjects variable is he importance of the prospective memory task. The dependent variable are accuracy and response time of the ongoing task and the prospective memory task. At the same time, there is a control group in the experiment, control group have not to participate the prospective memory. The difference between the first experiment and second experiment is that the prospective memory task is delayed in second experiment.This study verified the existence of the importance of the task will effect prospective memory. And according to experiment find that prospective memory task would cost source of ongoing task. At the same time, the study shows that both for finished prospective memory tasks or delayed prospective memory task, prospective memory intentions quickly lose their activities, and these intentions would not influence ongoing task in the future. But find that when prospective memory task was delayed, the high stressed group could suppress the intention better.
