Zhang Zi (1153-1235), whose literary name is "Shike", being changed it to "Gongfu" due to the admiration toward Guo Xiangzheng, and whose given name is "Yuezhai". He was born in Cheng Ji (Tianshui, Gansu province), and then moved to Lin'an (Hangzhou, Zhejiang province). Zhang Jun is his grandfather, a famous general in Southern Song Dynasty while Zhang Yan is his grandson, a famous poet. Zhang Zi went through five dynasties in his entire life, such as Song Gaozong, Song Xiaozong, Song Guangzong, Song Ningzong and Song Lizong. He used to be an officer in Bibliotheca, Lin'an, Tai Fu Temple, Agriculture Temple, etc. With the motivation to kill Han Tuozhou and against Shi Miyuan, he was exiled to Xiangzhou and dead there.
