Application Of Line Constitute Book Design

Books are an important part of human life,the development of books has gone through a long process since the beginning of human civilization.Each stage,witnessing human civilization,is close to human lives and has its own characteristics.Today,books should be designed to break traditional visual habits,and to create new ideas and cultural concepts.The way people read is the important interface through which people can understand the times and recognize the society.Book design,from plane to three-dimensions,includes the systematic designs of art thinking,creative ideas and technical approach.The process will never be independent of the design of graphics,colors,fonts,and layout as well as the composition and application of point,line and surface.Focused on the application of "line" as manifestation in book design,in this work we analyzed the art modeling design and constitution theory as well as its applications from the aspects of related concepts,basic structures,the development and nowadays status in book design.From symmetric equilibrium,changes in unity,rhythm,texture and creative performance in the law that "line" constitutes the formal beauty in book design,we summarized the methods in line-constitute book design,and analyzed the styles and aesthetic studies in book design.Taking book design and propaganda design of the book " Star" as our practice research,we further explored new design ideas and forms in book design,hoping to build some new concepts with innovation,as so to fulfill our designers' responsibility.
