Research On The Protection And Value Extension Of The Old Site Of Tangshan Chiao Tung University

This paper discusses several subjects with respects to the protection and value extension of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University.Firstly,based on the principles and relevant theories of historical and cultural heritage protection,studying on the value and necessity with drawing previous experience from abroad and China.Secondly,according to the current condition of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University,conducting research of the content,ways and problems which should be resolved about the protection of Tangshan Jiaotong University and put forward the protection methods in the "five in one" frame of economy,politics,culture,society and ecological environment in Tangshan city and with inheriting the spirit of "Jiaotong University System" leaded by SWJTU.Thirdly,in view of the resources used for the protection of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University,and on the environment and the needs of Tangshan city and "Jiaotong University system"development,providing specific proposals to further extent the value of the protection of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University.Based on the research,the writer come up with the following opinions:we could conclude that the protection object of educational historical and cultural heritage by analyzing historical and cultural heritage,especially the characteristics of the matter and sprit of educational historical and cultural heritage,also using the externality and property right theory.Then by analyzing the social capital attribute of historical and cultural heritage,putting forward that educational historical and cultural heritages have the roundabout production characteristic,which provides new perspective on deep understanding the value of historical and cultural heritage protection.As the pioneer of the modern higher education,Tangshan Jiaotong University has developed the university spirit,the exploration and innovation spirit by intellectuals,the patriotic and love school enthusiasm by teachers and students,and the dream of education-save-the-nation,which are the important part of our country culture,and are the mental power motivating young students and intellectuals from generation to generation.All achievements including the buildings of Tangshan Jiaotong University are the important heritage of Tangshan city and higher education,and should be inherited and developed through the protection of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University.Protection of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University as a platform and link to enrich the cultural and educational resources in Tangshan,as well a the foundation of research,technical achievement transformation,emerging industry incubation and talent cultivation,which could further extent the value of the protection of the old site of Tangshan Jiaotong University.
