Myth·Faith·Interpretation-the Study Of Theory Of Bultmann's Demythologizing

Rudolf Bultmann,who put forward demythologizing,which ran through his theology thinking,was a famous New Testament scholar and exegesis scholar in German in the 20th century.What makes demythologizing becomes necessary is that the contradiction between scientific world view and mythic world view and the paradoxical description in the biblical text.In short,demythologizing is a hermeneutics method,which interprets biblical based on Heidegger's existentialist philosophy.It aims to use the method to make the Bible understand by modern people and clarify the meaning behind the Bible,and make the kerygma without myth language become possible The priority of the demythologizing is sola fide that is advocated by Martin Luther.Bultmann absorbs and criticizes Schleiermacher and Dilthey's methodology hermeneutics with psychologism and historism,and meanwhile understand the Bible with Heidegger 's existentialist philosophy,which means understanding the Bible text is the same as understanding existence.To some extent,it promote the transition from methodology hermeneutics to ontology hermeneutics.The reason why demythologizing is always criticized in the western philosophy and theology field is the myth conception and the problem of interpretation and faith.Firstly,the thesis solve the problem of myth conception.In his view,the myth is an objective description.He believes that faith can not be proved and the objectivity of myth make it possible,therefore,myth becomes a stumbling block and must be demythologized.The mythology language contains Wunder(act of God),in his opinion,Wunder includes Mirakel(miracle)that disobeys the natural law and makes the modern people lost in the mythology world view.From the historical view,modern people can not acquire the deep meaning for the objectivity of the view.However,from historicity view,the deep meaning through demythologizing can be emerged for making existence into history.He emphases the existence form in history and make the meaningful thing clearly for the modern people by it As regarding to the relation between comprehension and faith,I analyses the start point,task and two previous attempts of demythologizing.Then I clarify the hermeneutics factors of it which acts as a hermeneutics method and use the method to interpret the eschatology events such cross the resurrection to make the events understand as redemptive events for faith other than myths.When comes to the myth conception and the problem of faith and interpretation that the method is referred.Gadamer criticizes that the myth conception in demythologizing is descriptive and not enlighten,and it can not obtain the correct interpretation because if the understanding controlled by a method,the fruit of interpretation are always beyond our cognition.Jaspers denies the two premiers,the modern world view and Heidegger's existentialist philosophy,of demythologizing and analyses myth,the relation between faith and understanding.As an response to their critique,Bultmann also comes up with some views to defend it.Through the analysis of their critique and response,I believe the myth,the problem of interpretation and faith should be reflected further:the positive aspect of myth is ignored by Bultmann and not all myths should be demythologized,however,the method that manifests the mystique of Bible is necessary.Meanwhile,as the method to preserve the kerygma can not satisfy Bultmann's adequate hermeneutic approach,but the circle of faith and interpretation is necessary to Exegesis.
