| In April 1952(Wanli 20th),Toyotomi Hideyoshi sent troops to invade Joseon Dynasty which called "The East Asian War(1592-1598)".After Joseon Dynasty asked Ming Dynasty for help,Ming Dynasty sent troops to rescue Joseon Dynasty. However, after twice victory of the war,Ming Dynasty troops failed in Biti Museum, then started the negotiations between Ming Dynasty and Japan.According to the previous academic research on relevant issues,Shi Xing(the minister of war)was considered the mastermind of the negotiations with Shen Weijing’s help. However, from the whole event, the prime minister Zhao Zhigao played an important role in the negotiation between Japan and Ming Dynasty which was a key figure, has been ignored in previous studies.Based on the Ming Dynasty Premier Zhao Zhigao as the main research object, from the perspective of historical data and its promoting process,we can find three reasons why Zhao Zhigao chose to promote the negotiations.Firstly, continue to send troops to rescue Joseon Dynasty cost a lot of money and expeditionary forces which affect the internal stability of Ming Dynasty.Secondly,Emperor Wanli showed support and will, after the intensification of this dispute and conflict,to support the emperor’s decision is the inevitable choice for Zhao Zhigao.Thirdly, since confliction between party has emerged in the Wanli Dynasty, the political situation of Wanli period guide the political orientation of Zhao Zhigao. At the same time, the decision-making process in the warfully reflects the confusion of political situation influence on diplomacy. |
