This thesis takes One Hundred Years of Solitude as center combined with his other works to analyze and interpret Garcia Marquez's feminism views.This thesis has five parts.The first part is the introduction.I mainly introduced the research status of Garcia Marquez at home and abroad.There are comparative literature study,narratology study,biographical studies,mythological archetype,and social history research.In the first section of the first chapter,the author expounds the development course and the viewpoint of feminism,and generally introduces the feminism views embodied in some of Garcia Marquez's major works.Beauvior's Second Sex considers that women are not born by nature but acquired.Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own emphasizes the importance of five pounds and a room in female writing and freedom.In the second section,I mainly introduced Garcia Marquez's feminism views in his main works.The second and the third chapter focused on a deeper interpretation and classification of the women images in One Hundred Years of Solitude and interpreted Garcia Marquez's feminism views in these female images.The fourth chapter is the analysis of Garcia Marquez's aesthetic ideal and female image and significance of One Hundred Years of Solitude.I also explained the social and life meanings of his feminism views in One Hundred Years of Solitude.This thesis focuses on the following three aspects: First,a more profound understanding of Garcia Marquez's description of the female images in his works.Second,from the perspective of feminism,I mainly analyzed and compared female images in One Hundred Years of Solitude.So I can understand Garcia Marquez's feminism views.Third,I stated the understanding and interpretation of contemporary feminism,the influence of Garcia Marquez's aesthetic value and the significance of female images on contemporary people.I do hope this thesis can be helpful to establish the correct concept of equality between men and women.
