Background and objective:Explore an effective way based on self-face of attentional bias modification(ABM)which improves the symptoms of depression by changing negative self schema and the role of the neuroticism.Experiment 1 examined the long-term effects a computerized attention bias modification(ABM)procedure on individuals with elevated depressive symptoms and the influence of neuroticism on treatment effect.Experiment 2examined the effect of an improved computerized attention bias modification procedure on individuals. Methods: In a double-blind study design,Experiment 1 40 individuals with ongoing mild to severe symptoms of depression were randomly assigned to one of two conditions: 1)ABM training(n =20);2)placebo(n =20);participants completed trains during a 4-week period.Experiment 2,20 individuals with ongoing mild to severe symptoms of depression were assigned to experiment,Based on the essence of depressed patients is there is a negative self schema. The time is match with experiment 1.Result: Experiment 1: In the ABM,significant reductions in depressive symptomswere found at post-training.Importantly,more participants, and notably, the ABM effect on reducing depressive symptoms was moderated by neuroticism. The reduction of the depressive symptoms score in experiment 2 is greater than in experiment 1.Conclusions: The effect was moderated by neuroticism.Based on self-face attentional bias modification(ABM)with positive emotional priming had greater effect than traditional attentional bias modification(ABM)and the effect was moderated by neuroticism.
