In the twentieth century,the status of women in the United Kingdom has improved,and the number of women managers in colleges and universities has also increased.But compared with men,women managers in colleges and universities had a smaller number and lower positions.Women's unique style of management,such as people-oriented and focusing on cooperation is beneficial.women managers with their own unique gender characteristics and management methods have made a great contribution to the development of higher education.However,religious,economic,social,institutional and other factors such as family impacts are limiting the development of women'careers in management system in universities.The pace of development of women managers is not only lagging behind the pace of higher education in the UK,but also lagging behind the growth of female students and the improvement of women teachers' status.To change this dilemma,national legislation,vocational training,group mutual assistance,ideological and other aspects of multi-pronged are needed.
