Painting Language Research On Dunhuang Fresco King Deer Jataka Fresco

By combining with historical and cultural background in the Northern Dynasties,conducting in-depth analysis and summarization of Bunsen of King Deer,the author analyzed artistic styles,artistic expression features,constitution forms of mural creation,color structure and modeling techniques systematically.The author applied philology,artistic interview and iconology in the study through positive meticulous settlement,analysis and information retrieval to summarize cultural features,artistic features and techniques of manifestation in mural art of the Northern Wei Dynasty represented by Bunsen of King Deer by beginning with mural pattern of constitution and combining with data citation.The Dunhuang Caves is the most valuable historical cultural relics and remains and treasury of Buddhism art in China.For more than 1000 years from the Former Qin Dynasty to Song and Yuan dynasties,it has developed into the encyclopaedia of ancient Chinese art integrating with architecture,sculpture and murals after building and maintenance of various dynasties.There are most of quantities and the most abundant contents in murals of the Dunhuang Caves.In existing 492 caves with murals and statues,murals have an area of 45000 m2.Murals in the Northern Dynasties have bright characteristics of times and cultural connotations.In the earlier stage,with red base,dark green and white,it had strong hue,simple lines and tall figures,showing bright Buddhism art features in the Western Regions.After the Western Wei Dynasty,with white base,elegant hue and free styles have already had the styles and features in the Central Plains,showing mutual penetration and Buddhist localization as spreading Buddhist culture from the west to the east during the period.In the study,the author studied the middle Bunsen of King Deer in the 257th cave of the West Wall and it is the representative.The mural shows the social reality at that time and advocates religious thoughts of retribution.It has the considerable historical research value.The artistic value is mainly reflected in lines and colors with unique aesthetic values,excellent modeling means,unique picture composition,and narrative techniques,etc.With excellent style and exquisite technology,it shows everlasting artistic charm and artistic brilliance.
