Fluctuating In The History-the Communication Of Ling Shuhua's Fictions Since 1920s

Since 1920s,the communication of Ling Shuhua's fictions exhibit periodic characteristics.The years from 1924 to 1931 witnessed the change of Shuhua from nobody to celebrity.In this period,Shuhua met the first rise and peak stage of the fiction.She published twenty-nine works on various newspapers and magazines including Xian Dai Ping Lun,Chen Bao Fu Juan,Xin Yue and etc.Besides,these works were assembled and published into three collections including Hua Zhi Si,Women and Xiao Ger Liang.Some of them obtained positive comments from literary critics such as Mao Dun,Su Xuelin and so on.What's more,Jiu Hou and Hua Zhi Si were even translated to Japanese and introduced to Japan.During the Anti-Japanese-War period,the diffusion of fiction was hindered at home but expanded in Japan.During this time,seventeen works came out but could not match with the ones before.Meanwhile,works like Xiu Zhen and Hua Zhi Si still attracted the attention of researchers.In addition,Hua Zhi Si and Qian Dai Zi were published as collections in Japan and welcomed by Japanese readers.Since 1950s,the process of communication became complicated.It fluctuated at home and emerged unexpectedly overseas presenting a complementary relationship.From 1950s to 1970s,the domestic channels of publishing and spreading were cut off,and the fictions were ignored by researchers totally.In contrast,the research of Shuhua emerged overseas during this period.On the one hand,Ancient Melodies was published and became a best seller in British.On the other hand,American Sinologists such as Xia Zhiqing expressed positive words on Shuhua in 1960s.In new period,with the help of re-evaluation boom in literary and art circles,the status of Shuhua in the history of literature was recovered.The fictions were spread in diverse way including textbooks,reference books,collections and so on presenting thriving situation.However,Shuhua herself was confronted with embarrassed consumption dilemma.Throughout the communication process of Shuhua's fictions,we can find that the fiction-era theme fit,political factors and author's interpersonal relationship have strong effects on the spreading of fictions.These factors work on the spreading of fictions of Shuhua as well as other ones in Female Writer Group of May Fourth.
