A Contrastive Analysis And Enlightenment Of The Three Acoustic Versions Of Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2

Dmitry Dmitrievitch Shostakovitch,a great composer,pianist,and music educator of former Soviet Union,is the representative of composers in the twentieth century.Shostakovitch only created two piano concertos throughout his lifetime.Compared with Piano Concerto No.1,Piano Concerto No.2 is rarely studied and played by members in music conservatories and famous performers.However,from my own perspective,this music piece is the work that Shostakovitch sent to his son as his graduation gift.The whole work is different from his previous style which is inconsonant and ironic.On the contrary,the whole work is humorous and interesting,filled with paternal love.Therefore,this work is worth researching and studying.I choose three concert performers and carry out deepgoing and comparative analysis of their performances in terms of performance force and speed,in order to offer inspirations for my own performance and teaching.
