Landscape poem,as a subject of Chinese classical poetry,it has a long history.In late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty,due to the massive trauma brought by the dynasties alternation and Literary Inquisition of Qing Dynasty,poets habited to bury their heavy historical sense and the huge trauma into the landscape poetry,which is a relatively safe and traditional literary theme.The poets put object-chanting,history memorization and landscape-feelings into landscape poems and formed an organic one,thus promoted the development of landscape poetry to another climax.Wu,as a representative poet,grew up in this big background.His landscape poetry has distinctive characteristics of times and profound thoughts,it is worthy of attention.In this paper,the introduction part firstly defines the definition of Wu’s landscape poems,and then briefly states the research status quo of Wu’s poems.In the first chapter,in conjunction with Wu’s political experience,mental feelings and the changes of his residence,the creation course of Wu’s poems is summed up,so to have an overall grasp of his works.According to his life experiences,Wu’s creation process and style characteristics can be roughly divided into two phases.In his youth,he was a green hand of society;in his old age,after went through the vicissitudes of life,the desolation and bleakness of ten-year Yimin period,he leaded an elegant and quiet life,did not give a thought to mortal world after all flourish fallen.The features of the poems varied as to the changes of his social experiences and political situations.In his early years,Wu expressed his love and attachment of suzhou by descripting the natural landscape of his hometown.In the ten-year Yimin period,he buried himself in Meicun(a small village),leaded a very simple life and seldom went out,his activities only limited in Taicang city.In twilight years,Wu resigned and returned to his hometown,at that time,he often went to the nearby mountains and rivers to seek the comfort for his tired and bitter soul from the beautiful scenery.The second chapter,Wu’s Landscape poems carried Wu’s unique feelings of landscape and some common images in Wu’s landscape poems were chose to explain.Image is the soul of classical Chinese poetry and they carry different ideas.The same image,when employed by different poets,it produces different artistic effects.In this part,the common applied images in Wu’s poems like BIRD image,Moon image and Cloud image are chose to analyze.The BIRD in Wu’s poems was an image of pursuing of freedom and longing for true,the CLOUD of a state of hollow changeable and unpredictable.These all fitted Wu’s life value that life was just an illusion and a dream.The MOON Image signified feelings of life’s helplessness,bitterness and hesitation below the bright and clear surface.Chinese people usually have deep feelings on natural landscape and the cultural heritage of the landscape is rather rich.From eastern Jin dynasty,landscape poetry creation entered into the conscious times.To Tang dynasty,it reached the heyday with a series of famous landscape poets and landscape work born.Wu’s landscape poetry creation was no doubt to absorb the predecessors’ creation experience and art nutrition.The third chapter of this Paper mainly elaborates the artistic expression of Wu’s poems.From the major point,(we can find)the trace of former famous landscape poems in Wu’s works,but the poets who influenced him most were Du Fu and Li Shangying(both are great poets in Tang dynasty).So this chapter mainly states how Wu’s poems inherit and develop of Du Fu’s and Li Shangyin’s.Wu,on the one hand,inherited the predecessors’ writing experience and,on the other hand,formed its own unique style.Moreover,it influenced the creation of later generations in this area.In the conclusion part of this article,the influences(and the comments)are discussed(in details).
