The Situation Of Realistic Painting In The Contemporary Cultural Context

Realistic painting originated in the West and has been in a dominant position from the Renaissance to the Impressionism.Until the industrial revolution machine era,with the influence of economy,politics and culture,art appeared in many forms.From the Ming and Qing Dynasties' introduction,the realistic painting was still in the mainstream position in the last century before the 90's.Chinese artists has been influenced by the western art and philosophy because of the east-west cultural communication after the Reform and Opening.The Chinese art has been diversified for the emergence of art forms such as devices,images,acts,abstractions,integrated materials,and so on,which has caused a significant impact on the realistic painting.In such era,the realistic painting has been affected a lot for the wars,the long period of political restriction during the Cultural Revolution,and the study of art to the Soviet Union.Facing the situation of the realistic painting in the contemporary culture,the left-out disadvantages from the long-term effects of politics and the problems of the painting itself,we can find a way out by summing up the history of art history and analyzing the successful artists.
