The Study Of The Reasons Of Selling In The Huizhou Sale Contracts Since The Ming Dynasty

Huizhou documents are important original information to study the social and historical development of Huizhou.Due to the relative stability of Huizhou,a largr number of Huizhou documents have been well preserved,and began to be massive discovered and protected since the 1950s,which contains a large number of sale contracts,there are many types,such as land-sale contract and house-sale contract,reflecting the real situation of Huizhou trading activities.The reason of selling as an important factor in the sale contract,can explain the motive of people selling goods,to some extent,it can restore the background of Huizhou society and the real condition of people’s life at that time.This paper main focus on the five series of Huizhou Documents by Boshan Liu,taking a systematic study on the reasons of selling in the sale contracts of Huizhou since the Ming Dynasty,in order to explore the reasons for the increasing number of the sale contract in Huizhou since the Ming Dynasty and the realistic problems of Huizhou society,thus deeply understand the social characteristics of Huizhou since the Ming Dynasty and the mainstream concept of Huizhou people at that time.This paper is divided into two parts of the introduction and main text,the introduction mainly discusses the selected topic reason and gives a comprehensive review and carding of academic history about Huizhou sale contract and the reason of selling,that provides certain academic background of later research.Now the academia have little attention about the reason of selling,mostly mentioned it when discussing other issues,so there is no complete system of research theory.The content of main text are as follows:Preface:mainly defines the sale contract involved in this paper on conception,to determine the specific scope of this study;and introduces the Huizhou sale contracts from the published documents,and mainly introduces the situation of the sale contracts in Huizhou Documents by Mr.Liu,then simply explain the meaning of the reason of selling in Huizhou sale contract.Chapter one:the classification of the reasons of selling in Huizhou sale contracts since the Ming Dynasty.This chapter is the base,mainly classifies the reasons of selling in Huizhou sale contracts since the Ming Dynasty,roughly divided into five categories,further classifies and illustrates them respectively,and makes every effort to restore the original condition about transaction from the reasons of selling,which laid the foundation for the following research.Chapter two:the statistics and analysis of the reasons of selling in Huizhou sale contracts since the Ming Dynasty.The first section mainly counts the number of the sale contracts about each type of the reasons of selling in Huizhou Documents,and analyzes the construction features of the data results by contrasting with Qingshui Jiang Documents Mainly summarizes the characteristics of the reasons of selling in Huizhou sale contracts since the Ming Dynasty on the basis of the first chapter.Firstly,expounds the character of diversity from two aspects of content and function of the reason of selling.Secondly,mainly introduces that the reason of selling has gradually become one of the essential elements in the sale contract,and began to show the trend of formatting from the middle and late Ming Dynasty,also analyzes the causes of this phenomenon from three aspects.Thirdly,analyzes the character of remediality of the reason for the sale and its influences.Chapter three:the Huizhou society viewed from the reason of selling since the Ming Dynasty.This chapter is highlight,The first section starts with the data results from preliminaries,selects the reasons of selling with Huizhou characteristics to discuss the three pronounced features of Huizhou society since the Ming Dynasty,namely sees the prosperity of business in Huizhou from the reasons which sells for business,analyzes the common influence and the practice condition of the traditional filial piety culture in Huizhou from a large number of the reason of selling about filial piety in the sale contracts,and by comparing the phenomenon of heavy tax in Huizhou with the situation of Huizhou people pay taxes consciously,it is concluded that Huizhou people have a strong sense of tax payment.Then the auther summarizes the principle of taking living as an origin and the editing criteria that the Huizhou people follow combinning with the full text.
