In the history of western philosophy,Kant established the theory of "human is the subject".People as the subject, mainly represents the cognitive subject, moral and aesthetic subject in Kant's philosophy.Critique of pure reason as the beginning of Kant's philosophy, mainly solve the basic problem of epistemology, highlighting the active function of the cognitive subject in this process. This article is mainly discussing about the cognitive subject in Kant's critique of pure reason. The most prominent feature of Modern western philosophy was the emphasis of the epistemology or cognitive subject. As the formation of cognitive subject is based on the problem of subject-object relationship, man appeared as the cognitive subject and were established as the foundation of "self-consciousness" in reflective philosophy. And the confirmation of "self" begins with Descartes' s "I think,so I am" but was criticized in David Hume's skepticism.Eventually through the "Copernican revolution" in the field of critical criticism and cognition,Kant built up the principle of rational subject and the cognitive status of people in the field of cognitionFirst of all, resourcing to transcendental philosophy,Kant transform the epistemological problem into the problem of the cognitive subject.Figuring out what is possible under the basis of knowledge from the subject itself, which is transcendental body's innate function of logical unity in form, make knowledge have universal necessity. Therefore,in Kant's transcendental philosophy, the transcendental ego as the cognitive subject is a functional, logical subject, not a spiritual entity.Secondly, through the understanding of the main ability,Kant identified the formation process of knowledge is: the innate and intuitive forms of the cognitive subject grasp human's sensibility and form the perceptual object. And as the congenital thought form of the subject, the intellectual category composites kinds of sensible things to knowledge. This comprehensive function is from the subject's the prior experience and the perceptual and intellectual are combined by transcendental imagination.Thisprocess embodies the characteristics of spontaneity, initiative and comprehensiveness of cognitive subject. However,Kant's cognitive subject has its boundaries and scope, which is only confined in the fields of experience and cannot transcend it.Finally,Kant took the center of the cognitive subject as the rational demarcation, which led to the dualism of knowledge and made that the cognitive subject limited in itself, and inevitably fall into the "only theory".Although Kant's theory of cognitive subject has some theoretical difficulties, his view of cognitive subject has an important influence in the history of philosophy and the whole philosophy.
