Identity matter of Chinese Canadians is one of the most important subjects in Chinese Canadian literature study.Wayson Choy,as a prestigious Chinese Canadian writer,has created a myriad of works,including the award-winningJade Peony and its sequel All That Matters,which are quite worthy of being analyzed for the purpose of studying the community of Chinese Canadians at different times.This paper aims to utilize dynamic mechanism of identity to explore and analyze the process of identity transformation forboth of the first and the second generation of Chinese Canadians.Through the analysis of the different patterns of identity transformation process of the first and the second generations,this paper also aims to provide a more comprehensive explanation of the conflict concerning identity issues between different generations of Chinese Canadians.
