David Harvey is a geographer and philosopher who has a profound impact on modern academic circle. In the circle of geographical philosophy,Harvey has always been known for its deep and critical thinking.Since 1960 s,a large number of Harvey's works have been published, such as Explanation in Geography,The Condition of Postmodernity,Social Justice and the City and other early works, and more recently,The Enigma of Capital and the Crisis of Capitalism,The Ways of the World. His philosophical thoughts, such as "space-time compression" and "Neo imperialism",provided a lot of inspiration for the contemporary social and political movement. The aim of this thesis is mainly to study David Harvey's postmodern humanistic and geographical philosophy.According to Harvey's works and translated works, this paper starts from the three aspects: focus on Harvey's postmodern view of social justice;Harvey's critique of capitalism, and to explain Harvey's philosophy by comparative analysis. This paper first reviews the relevant domestic and foreign research status, especially the study of Harvey's latest works,as well as domestic and foreign scholars on Harvey's philosophical thinking. Then analyzes the development stage of Harvey's philosophy thought: the formation stage, the mature stage and the development stage. After that, this paper analyzes the nine core terms of David Harvey's philosophical thoughts from three aspects. The three concepts are the geography of freedom, the geography of difference and the "rebel city".There are three concepts of time, space and capital theory under the framework of the time-space relation: space-time fix and compression. Finally, the three theories of globalization and post modernity are analyzed, which are the new imperialism, the accumulation of dispossession and the condition of postmodernity. As a summary of the previous analysis, this paper reviews the theoretical characteristics of Harvey's thought, and the construction and limitations of the theory.Harvey's thought is longer than the space in the postmodern context, which enriches the discussion of justice, but the anarchic factors contained in his Geography thought is worthy of consideration. Finally, this paper puts forward the direction of further research, namely in the global governance perspective, human geography philosophy by David Harvey to investigate the problem of justice globalization process,in order to promote justice and fairness to the development of a new global order.
