First this paper reviews the previous studies of category learning,mainly expounds the existing achievements based on category learning under visual stimulation,and the related experimental separation status in auditory stimulation on extension,separation of category learning tasks are mainly use two kinds of classical paradigm.Difficulty,class labels,feedback delays are used in recent years to get the experimental separation of the control variables,but these phenomena in the auditory stimuli in the test did not directly or intuitive comparison.In previous studies,researchers have two different views,One is the auditory and visual in category learning is to have the same mechanism and rule,another that the learning rules of two kinds of stimuli is different.In order to solve this problem,two experiments were designed to explore the learning effects of the category learning under the two stimuli.Experiment 1 explored the difference between the performances of the two types of learning in the two sensory channels.The basic hypothesis of the study is that the information integration category learning and rule-based category learning are different in the two kinds of stimuli.Stimulation of auditory information case,Information integration category learning is betterthan rule-based category learning,while in the experimental stimuli were visual information,rule-based category learning is better than information integration categorylearning.The three dependent variables,including reaction time,correct rate,number of exercise rounds,respectively,represent the speed of category judgment task,learning outcomes,and acceptance speed.The experimental results show that the two independent variables,the channel type and the learning category,have an interactive effect on the correctness of the test.In the visual condition,rules of category learning and information integration category learning based on learning achievement have no significant difference,while in the hearing condition of information integration category learning achievement is significantly higher than that of rule-based category learning.On the acceptance rate of category learning,auditory channel is faster than visual channel.In response,auditory response was faster than visual stimulation.The results of the first experiment show that there are some differences between the two types of hearing and vision.Experiment 2 examined the difference of learning performance based on rules and information integration in the case of two channels of stimulation.The basic assumption is that:in the case of stimulus is the auditory channel dimension,the learning rate is lower than the information integration category.In the case of the auditory channel dimension,the response time of the rule based learning is higher than that of the information integration category.The results of the second experiments showed that both hearing and visual presentation of cases,after the same number of rounds of learning,information integration category learning and rule-based category learning and no difference of performance.The results of the two experiments can be concludedas:(1)The audio visual attributes of stimuli are the influencing factors of category learning.Ininformation integrationcategory learning the correct rate of auditory group is higher than visual group;in the rule-based category learningauditory group and vision group's correct rateshave no significant difference,In two kinds of learning,auditory group's practice round numbersare less than the vision group.The learning using effect of dual channel combination is worse than that of single channel.(2)Category structure is the influencing factor of category learning.In auditory channel,the accuracy of information integration category is higher,and the practice round number is lower.There was no significant difference in the accuracy of the two kinds of learning.In two channels,the number of learning rounds needed for information integration category learning is higher than that rule-based learning.(3)Two kinds of learning in cross audio-visual channel,when two channels as the relevant dimensionsat the same time,there is no significant difference between the correct rate of the two groups,two kinds of structure of the acceptance rate and reaction rate were not significantly different.
