Expounding The Narrative Strategy Of Xu Xiaobin's Novels

Xu Xiaobin is a contemporary writer who has distinctive narrative style.Since published her first novel <Spring night silent>,She has formed own characteristics gradually.Not only theme is extensive and mysterious,characters is distinct and complex,language is vivid and meaningful,but also had her narrative strategies.This article bases Xu Xiaobin's novels,uses close reading,references to relevant narrative theories,to explore narrative strategies of Xu Xiaobin's novels from three respects:Chapter One analyze perspective strategy of Xu Xiaobin's novel.In the process of construction perspective,Xu Xiaobin draw lessons from the perspective of writing,adopts the liquidity strategy and liveness strategy.Firstly,she uses omniscient perspective with limited perspective to constitute the flow perspective,which forms the liquidity of novel perspective.Secondly,by simulating the traditional storytelling situation and inserting the second person id “you” to form the presence of novel perspective.Chapter Two analyses the structure strategy of Xu Xiaobin's novel.On the structure of the novel,Xu Xiaobin mainly adopts the modeling strategy of polt and vertical strategy of character.Fristly,by repeating writing the sisterhood and gender marriage,her novels form two kinds of comparatively typical patterns of polt:sisterhood patterns and gender marriage patterns.Secondly,by setting up a group of vertical images,the novel has formed a typical character pattern:the pure women and enchanting women of two opposites.Chapter Three analyze the rhetorical strategies of Xu Xiaobin's novel.On the choice of rhetoric,Xu Xiaobin mainly uses metaphor and symbol.Firstly,she uses quite commom things in daily life as the tenor and vehicle of metaphor,which makes the novel language more vivid.Secondly,she choses water(different forms)and witch as the symbolic rhetoric,which makes the novel present a multi-layered meaning connotation and more rich in sense.As a writer who has over 30 years experience in novel creation,Xu Xiaobin has gormed own narrative strategies and methods.Which is also a major feature of her novels.Xu Xiaobin has continued to write,her novels will be more perfect in future.
