Conceptual blending theory has become one of the most important concepts of cognitive linguistics since it was put forward by Fauconnier in 1920s. Conceptual blending theory, which develops from mental space theory, is not only limited in cognitive linguistics, but also involves other fields now. Because its theoretical mechanism is closely related to translation studies, many scholars begin to apply it to translation studies. This thesis studies blending process of translators. This perspective' researches are seldom compared with previous ones. Because there are novel themes, special angels, wide knowledge and complex contents, science fictions, which are a special sort of literature, make higher demand of translators. Excellent science fictions directly show translators' competence of conceptual blending. On the basis of previous studies, the thesis which starts from conceptual blending theory constructs seven spaces and attempts to study the translation process of the science fiction The Three-Body Problem. The thesis uses seven spaces which are combined with translation examples to study and find that seven spaces can be applied in this book and other science fictions. The thesis tries to make an attempt for further translation studies.
