With the country's emphasis on cultural relic protection and the rise of the"non-left" wave, King Yi faith gradually recovered. Now the southeastern region, King Yi faith gradually faded. This article takes the southeastern Shanxi area as the entry point, investigates King Yi as the hero of the nation mythology how to turn into the local people believe in the water god; Analysis of literature, public horizon in the image of King Yi, his image in the memory for the people and southeast Shanxi region difference; from the diachronic perspective combing the evolution of the faith and praying rain, examine the factors that affect the transformation of the function of the gods; and from the synchronic point of view.
