Character recognition research has debates between the whole word recognition and morpheme recognition in the whole study of the recognition and identification,The focus of the argument is whether word recognition and morpheme recognition exist in word recognition,parallel processing or parallel processing.This debate is not only in the process of alphabetic writing and Chinese characters in strokes and components as the basic processing unit processing Chinese characters in the characterization of disyllabic words in Chinese morpheme still(words)and characterization of whole words(words)exist.Through reviewing the phonetic writing,Chinese words,Chinese two-character words three kinds of materials in the whole research progress of the mechanism of overall recognition and feature recognition,as well as the overall precedence effect,semantic transparency and frequency in the study of the influence of character recognition and interaction,We found that there is a mechanism of the whole word recognition and morpheme identification in character recognition,But whether this effect is present in the transparent and opaque words,whether this effect is present in the high frequency and low frequency words,whether different words the mechanism is the same,and how different is the mechanism of action of a whole word recognition and morpheme in period of early character recognition,the period of morphological identification,the period of word's meaning identification?We use the N1 which is generally thought as be peculiar to the language basic cognitive processing,which usually regard as reflects some sort of identifying process as an ingredient.Can be thought as the distinguish words and general object in object recognition of a process.N200 said to be represent the morphological processing of Chinese two-character words,N400 said to be language semantic processing,can a comprehensive analysis of Chinese two-character words character recognition time process,and the mechanism of action of the overall recognition and morpheme in different levels in different time clearly outline drawing.Study hypothesis 1.At the form level,transparent words and opaque words own the whole word recognition and morpheme recognition.At the word level,there are both word processing and morpheme processing.In word recognition,that is,opaque words also have the process of morpheme decomposition.2.At the morphological level,high frequency and low frequency words there are both whole word processing and morpheme processing,on the meaning of level,high frequency and low frequency words there are both whole word processing and morpheme processing.Transparency is related to semantic processing,and word frequency is associated with word-processing.In Experiment 1,2 x 3 and two factors used in the repeated measurement design,were used to study the mechanism of morpheme recognition and word recognition in morphology and word meaning of transparent double words and opaque double words.Experimental variables are transparent(transparent words,opacity words)and repeat ability(single word repeat,the whole word is repeated,no repetition),Participants were given the lexical decision task.I will record the EEG data.The second experiment is the juxtaposition of the experiment1,which is discussed in different aspects.In experiment 2,2 x 3 and two factors used in the repeated measurement design,experiment were carried out to study the mechanism of morpheme recognition and word recognition in terms of morphology and word meaning of high-frequency double words and low-frequency double words.Experimental variables are word frequency(high frequency words,low frequency words)and repeat ability(word repeat,the whole word repeat,no repeat).Participants were given the lexical decision task.I will record the EEG data.The experimental1 conclusion: The processing time of transparent and opaque words words words in the process,the first is the general object recognition and object text tell,there the whole processing in this process as well as the existence of local processing,then the main local processing,local processing advantage.This is consistent with the previous results of object recognition and text recognition.Think in the early identification stage is parallel processing,rather than serial processing.In word processing stage,transparent words are word processing and whole word processing,and they are serial processing with morpheme as intermediary.This is consistent with previous studies that transparent words are processed by morphemes.In the processing of opaque words,there are also word(morpheme)recognition and word recognition,which are serial processing.This is not the same as with the previous research results,previous studies suggest that for semantic transparency,whole word meaning cannot be inferred simply from the morpheme meaning,there are whole word representation independent,whole word representation theory emphasizes every word has access to their characterization.In the semantic processing stage,both transparent and opaque words exist both in word processing and in word processing.And word processing and word processing are parallel processing.There was no significant difference in the degree of transparency in the early identification stage,and there was no significant difference between the word form and the lexical stage.Experiment 2 Conclusion: That early processing of word recognition in low frequency to high frequency words,word recognition processing difficult to whole word recognition processing,the overall processing is dominant;the first word recognition and word recognition,this is a sequence of processing(serial processing).Predecessors seldom discuss it at this stage of processing.It is considered that word recognition and word recognition are sequential processing in high-frequency word pattern recognition,which is inconsistent with the previous experimental results.In the condition of low frequency,word repetition and word repetition difference,word repetition and no repeat of the difference is not significant,whole word repetition and no repeat of significant differences,that level is low frequency word morpheme identification and whole word recognition is the sequence of processing,consistent with previous research on this.Past studies did not usually distinguish between word processing and semantic processing.But the distinction between word processing and semantic processing,that in the aspect of semantic processing,there is a whole word processing word and morpheme processing,word recognition and morpheme identification is parallel processing;low frequency words are both whole word processing and morpheme processing,word recognition and word recognition in parallel processing.This and the previous research conclusion,namely "Yu Linxin using the semantic priming paradigm of Chinese two character words that for high frequency words,morphemes semantic activation is not faster than the whole word,morpheme identification and whole word recognition is not serial processing,low frequency words and vice versa." No conflict is further explained by previous conclusions.Word frequency was not significantly different in the early identification stage,Word frequency has significant difference in word formation stage,but not significant in word meaning stage.Word frequency plays a role in word form recognition.
