Western literature has two big source-the ancient Greek and ancient Hebrew,throughout these two sources and in different periods,different factions,different writer's works,we can sort out a fleeing series.From Adam and Eve for eating the forbidden fruit and expelled from the garden of Eden,guilt to escape and find way to home became a natural human destiny.Morrison is the the first African-American writer to win the Nobel Prize for literature in American literature history,and also the only one African-American female writer won this award in the world,Her work on the basis of carrying forward traditional black culture,and also under the influence of European classical literature,as a result,most of the author's characters have a common characteristic--they're all "escape".This paper will take the "escape motif" as the breakthrough point,analysis the performance of "escape" in the work,and to explore the causes of people to flee to categorize their escape,points out that Morrison by fleeing to express thoughts and her pointed out that the way out for renegades and black nation,giving Morrison works a new connotation.
