In this paper,the focus of the study is to use the theory of conversational analysis,and based on the job-seeking reality show named "YOU ARE HIRED",through the statistical analysis between the host,interviewers and job seeker,we can draw the characteristics of interrupted speech under the influence of power.This article studies the power and interruption of job-seeking reality show based on YOU ARE HIRED,which is divided into five parts.The first part is the first chapter of the article,it firstly introduced the research background,research purpose and significance,as well as the source of corpus,it finally introduced the related information marking method.The second part,first discerns the speech interruption and verbal feedback,and finds that there is a cross relationship between verbal feedback and verbal interruption.In order to facilitate the collection and follow-up of the subsequent corpus,it is necessary to eliminate the part of speech feedback that does not belong to speech interruption.Secondly,from three aspects,namely the context,the purpose of interruption,the way to interrupt,we analysis and compared of interrupted behavior between YOU ARE HIRED and daily life speech interruption behavior.We believe that the differences in context,giving communicators different roles,but also caused the differences in the power of the parties to the communication.The third part starts from the theory of power relations in discourse and finds that the host is in the highest power position and is the powerful role in the program.The interviewer is in a moderate power position,his power position is lower than the host but higher than the job seekers,the interviewer and the interviewer lhave the same power relationship:Job seekers are at the lowest power of the program.In order to maintain the power relations,job seekers use pragmatic strategies to include:First,the use of King said and "you";second,do not dispute the control of words;third,when the views of differences,do not argue.Interviewer in order to maintain the power relations The use of language strategies include:first,do not use the King said,called job seekers name;second,the job seekers to exercise the right to criticize;third,good at opening and closing the topic.Moderator in order to maintain the power relations using the characteristics of the pragmatic strategies include:First,the appellation does not use King said,call the name;second,often to take,the right to speak;third,the discourse is not directly euphemism.The influence of power on the interruption is the focus of this paper.The study found that under the influence of the power relations,the host to interrupt of the frequency is higher than the interviewer and job seekers,the interviewer to interrupt the frequency higher than the host;host are more adept at using interdependent and discourse transfer interrupted,interviewers are more adept at using disagreement,and job seekers are more likely to use identity interrupted;The host and the interviewer's position on the job-seeker's discourse is mostly in the discourse of the speaker and the unnatural pause of the discourse of the speaker,while the job-seekers on the less vulnerable are interrupted by the moderator and interviewer,The position appears more at the natural pause of the speaker's discourse,and more is mistaken for the speaker who has ended the position;host initiated interrupted by the success of the speech mostly,the interviewer because of the interruption of the object,the success rate of interruption is different,and job seekers initiated mostly unsuccessful interrupted.The power difference also caused the different reactions,when host,the interviewer and the jobseeker faced the interrupt and be interrupted.The fourth part about influence of power on the interruption is the focus of this paper.The study found that under the influence of the power relations,the host to intervene not only the most,but also the highest success rate of interruption.Interviewer initiated interrupted more than the host,according to the object of interruption,interrupted the success rate is not the same.Job seekers initiate interruption at least,and have the lowest success rate.Moderator,job seekers,interviewers in order to maintain the power relations,select the type of interruption has the following characteristics:First,the face of job seekers,the host is better at using auxiliary help interrupted,face the interviewer,the host more inclined In the use of discourse transfer interrupted;second,for job seekers and interviewers,interviewers prefer to use disagreement interrupted,and the strong power of the host,the interviewer to use the type of interruption is no special tendency,Depending on the situation;Third,the weak power of job seekers,in order to maintain the power relations,up to the use of identity type interrupted.The host and the interviewer interrupt the job seeker,the location appears in the discourse and the discourse of the words of the unnatural pause,and in the more vulnerable side of the job seekers and interviewers turn on the call,the location Appear more at the natural pause of the speaker's discourse,and more is mistaken for the speaker's turn,the position that has ended.The power relations also affected the reaction of the parties as interrupted.The last part is the conclusion of the article.This chapter summarizes the research results of this paper,reveals the shortcomings of the article,and puts forward the problems that are expected to be solved further.
