Herman C. E. Liu's Idea And Practice Of Saving The Nation During His Tenure As President Of The University Of Shanghai

In modern China, The conflict between Christian identity and national identity for Chinese christians to a lot of confusion and impact. Liu who served as a headmaster in Shanghai University is an excellent case balance these two identities. As a Christian citizen, Herman C. E. Liu won support form the kuomintang of china, the communist party of China, religious,and People from all walks of life, and have been cited as a model Christian patriotic praise. In 1938 he was assassinated by the Japanese spy for involved in a variety of activities for resisting Japan and saving the nation. The national government held a state funeral for him. People came from all directions commemorated him spontaneously. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, he was awarded the title of the revolutionary martyrs and became one of the few Christians revolutionary martyrs in China.As a Christian citizen, Herman C. E. Liu is widely recognized as a patriot. Liu's diplomatic work.Throughout Herman C. E. Liu's all life, he tried his best to save the country and help the people. His practice of saving the nation in education, politics, diplomacy, and so on, also reflects the special social groups, Christian citizen's social and political concerns and the realistic situation in the country's crisis.This paper takes Herman C.
