Studies Of The Characteristics Of Jiyang Guzi Yangko

ShanDong Yangko has been playing a significant role in Chinese folk dances,just like a wonderful flower in the history of music and dance of Huaxia culture.Guzi Yangko,JiaoZhou Yangko,and HaiYang Yangko are ranked as the first three folk dances.As an important representative of Guzi Yangko,JiYang Guzi Yangko possesses inestimable values.It demonstrates unique artistic and social values with passionate and bold spirits,pure and honest characteristics,and varied dancing scene.Ji Yang Guzi Yangko is the product of Ji Yang people's wisdom,intended to celebrate good harvest.Being deeply rooted among local residents,JiYang Guzi Yangko reflects the honest,kind-hearted,and friendly style and has fairly high artistic appreciation values.This paper aims fieldwork starting to three villages – Liuhe,Sijiafang,and Jinli – formed from the origin of Guzi Yangko,artistic characteristics,current status and future development,analysis,and exploration.Moreover,the author calls for emphasis in paying more attention to this intangible cultural dance,and in pursuing continuous greater development through heritage.This paper is composed of four chapters as followed.Chapter one: The origin and development of Jiyang Guzi Yangko.It reviews the history of Jiyang Guzi Yangko,and explores the geographical factors and cultural customs which has influence on it.Chapter two: The characteristics of three genres of Jiyang Guzi Yangko.This part is the main body of the thesis.It compares and analyzes the characteristics,typical movements and roles of the three genres – “old adagio”,“allegro”,and “umbrella”.It mainly talks about the historic culture meanings of the properties,actions,costume,and field figure.The characteristics and difference are also the important reasons in forming those three genres.Chapter three: The social function of Jiyang Guzi Yangko.It analyzes the social functions of Guzi Yangko in old days and nowadays.People mainly danced for entertainment and sacrifice in ancient time;However,the modern function is to keep healthy,to cultivate taste,and to inherit folk culture.This is the best-known values ofYangko.Chapter four: The heritage and protection of Jiyang Guzi Yangko.This chapter discusses the meanings and values of Guzi Yangko in four respects.The current problems encountered mainly come from actors and spectators.The author suggests to focus on enhancing social media transmission,government's support,and self-development.The author comes up with original protection politics,hoping this unique folk art could be promoted better.
