| In 546 B. C,The Persian Empire conquered the Ionia, which started the diplomatic relationship between Greece and the Persian Empire. From 546 to 386 B.C.,the Ionian city-states occupied a very important position in the relationship between them. The Ionian city-states played different roles in different periods in the process of Greece-Persia’s relationship. This paper contains introduction, text and conclusion, and the text contains three chapters.The first chapter describes the general situation of the development of Ionian city-states,the conquest of Persian Empire’s to Ionia,and the media role of Ionia in the exchange between Persia and Greece. The second chapter studies the relationship in the evolutionary process of Greece-Persian, which from peace to full scale conflict,and demonstrates the role of blasting fuse of Ionia in the conflict between Greek city-states and Persian Empire. The third chapter discusses the role of battleground of Ionia, and the methods the Persian Empire used to get the purpose of taking the Ionian back in the intervening of the hegemony seeking wars between Greek cite-states.The conclusion shows the special geopolitics status of Ionia and explain the reason why the Ionia was able to play an important role in the relationship between the Greek city-states and the Persian Empire. |
