The development of education in our country has achieved the replacement of new and old education in the early years of the founding of the PRC,and the new education has been comprehensively resuscitated and developed rapidly.The development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas has also made great achievements and breakthroughs in the historical process of this stage.In this paper,from 1949 to 1958,took the development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas as the research object,combined with the current national education policy and Xiangxi national characteristics,do an in-depth research about the development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas.Through the analysis of the historical background of the rise and development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas in the early years of the founding of the PRC,the historical process of basic education development in the early period of the founding of the PRC of Xiangxi Ethnic areas,explored its historical characteristics,summarized its historical influence and function.There are four chapters besides the " prolegomena" and " conclusion " in full text.Prolegomena,briefly expounds the research background and significance of the study,elaborates the present situation of education development in Xiangxi ethnic areas before the founding of the PRC,analyzes its research significance,points out its research shortcomings,puts forward the purpose,research content.The first chapter introduces the history and nationality of Xiangxi ethnic areas,then cards the general situation of education development history in Xiangxi ethnic areas before the founding of the PRC,and expounds the important measures of taking over basic education in the early period of the founding of PRC,and analyzes the historical reasons of the development of basic education.The second chapter,dividing(1949-1958)into three stages,is the recovery period(1949-1952),transition period(1953-1957)and consolidation period(1958).This paper focuses on studying the condition of recovery development of primary and secondary education,educational reform,teacher team construction and improvement of teachers' welfare treatment etc.Respectively does an in-depth study of the recovery and development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas,points out the achievements and existing problems,and makes related comments.The third chapter,analysis and explains the historical characteristics of the development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas in the early years of the founding of PRC,respectively are characteristics such as scientific,popularity and nationality.The development of basic education in ethnic areas,government policy and national local characteristics are a binary linkage association which can mutually restricted and mutually promoted.The development of basic education in the Xiangxi ethnic areas is the epitome of the development of basic education in the national minority areas,and the characteristics reflected such as science,popularity,nationality have typical representativeness.The fourth chapter analyzes the historical influence and modern enlightenment of the development of basic education in Xiangxi ethnic areas in the early founding of PRC.Analysis its influence and function from the perspective of politics,economy,society ideology and national culture.
