Secondary vocational education in our country the size of the increase in the early reform and opening up, as China's economic development to provide a large number of qualified workers. But with the rapid development of economy, the enterprise and the market becomes more and more need to have good communication ability,cooperation ability, self-learning ability, can deal with all sorts of challenges with creativity and curiosity of professional and technical personnel, and unfortunately the current secondary vocational school students lack of learning motivation, no interest in learning, autonomous learning ability is low. English at the same time as a basic subject of secondary vocational school, as a result of the long-term fixed type summative evaluation to accelerate the secondary vocational students' learning and teachers' teaching become a mere formality is not really stimulate students' curiosity and interest in learning. As a result, the students of secondary vocational school English achievement is not ideal, not increase,more winners grades back. Change the way a single summative evaluation, applying formative assessment to improve students' learning autonomy has become more and more education currently scientists to search for a direction.The purpose of this study lies in the secondary vocational hotel management professional students oral English autonomous learning ability and the correlation of formative assessment, so as to secondary vocational school education workers to improve the method of teaching English provide valuable reference.In this paper, using the combination of qualitative and quantitative study. Qualitative research relies mainly on the literature method, the related research at home and abroad in the field of literature and writing, and carries on the analysis,summarized and refined, providing theoretical basis for this study.Quantitative research mainly USES the method of experiment and establish the experimental class and control class. Prepare a list of the self-evaluation of secondary vocational students' Englishautonomous learning ability, in the form of questionnaires on tourism school in guizhou tourism services and management level2015 hotel management professional, a survey was conducted among110 students, through the three-month experiment, it is concluded that the data and analysis, the final conclusion.Based on the results of questionnaire survey and data analysis,this study the following conclusions:(1) compared to summative assessment, formative assessment can more effectively improve students' oral English autonomous learning ability.(2)the improvement of English autonomous learning ability for the improvement of English help, but the improvement not by much.(3)compared with summative assessment, formative assessment based composite evaluation way, to different degree of the main learning ability of students has improved significantly.(4) improve students learning persistence, improve the effect is not obvious,however, some students even have no obvious improvement.
