In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the use of vocabulary learning strategies in 35 Peruvian learners,and the relationship between vocabulary competence and vocabulary learning strategies was explored by the middle and high level learners of the Confucius Institute at the Catholic University of Santa Maria in Arequipa,Peru.It is hoped that it can provide some reference for Chinese teaching in Peru.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,Put forward research questions.The second part mainly discusses the current situation of learners' Chinese vocabulary acquisition.The third part mainly discusses the types and importance of vocabulary learning strategies,and the individual differences of vocabulary learning strategies and the methods of cultivating vocabulary learning strategies.The fourth part mainly uses SPSS17.0 to study the use of vocabulary learning strategies in Peruvian learners and the correlation between vocabulary ability and vocabulary learning strategies.Peruvian students vocabulary learning strategies use frequency from high to low for metacognitive strategies,social emotional strategies,cognitive strategies and compensation strategies.Age and vocabulary ability is not relevant,the length of learning time and learning strategies are not relevant,but the HSK level of learners and vocabulary learning strategies are significant.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part,mainly states the shortcomings of the study and the future direction to study.
